I made a quick test of a problem wad, mentioned some time before:
viewtopic.php?p=6751#p6751

32innail.wad, map05 (starting position) that is.
Vavoom 1.29 (full gwa not built): 2-4 fps
Vavoom 1.30 (full gwa not built): 8-9 fps; 5-6 fps during action

I was waiting for that.
But mostly, the speed enhancements.
Lets try it.

What that flag is for?

With this version of vavoom I have 72 fps at the start of map05/32innail.wad in both cases: with and without GWA. I do not know how to disable framerate cap.

btw, level is still unplayable, because of precision problems or something - big open areas are full of HOMs there.

And against nice work, Janis! Now Vavoom is a really fast-loading sourceport! I test that on map29 of doom2 - now it shows 42 fps, not 19, thats cool!

Good to see new versions coming out^^
Do you think you would be able to adopt the doomsday engines pk3 file structure? It is impossible for me to correctly pack the Doom Hi Res texture pack for vavoom. and because of that I have stopped releasing new packs.

@Kurikai: Hi-res textures should go inside 'hirestex' folder, inside them add two more folders 'walls' for wall textures and 'flats' for floor textures, they should have the same name they do in the IWAD files :), hope this helps you out.

Janis, I found this very cool tutorial map from guy known as DarkRaven on KH developers server (it's for Hexen):
http://downloads.orcishweb.com/koraxdev ... %20Map.zip

I believe it is good enouph to be added to Vavoom downloads in Demo levels section.

For some reason I cannot upload it as an attachement; maybe I reached the limit of attachements... :?

Don't say how much time did you need to build all those sloped 3DFloors

Whatever it be, nice work.
